About the Co-Founders

In 2001 Becky Wilson (left, above) and Nancy Zurbuchen (right, above) co-founded the KC-CWBO in response to recognizing a gap that existed for women business owners. While numerous venues and services existed for very small and start-up businesses, an organized entity for women who own and run the larger businesses was lacking. This included addressing their needs in terms of public policy issues, giving them a consistent and timely "voice" with the media, providing a way for them to give back to benefit other women business owners, and simply in having opportunities to meet one another. The KC-CWBO was formed to address these needs as well as others.
